BITE, winner of the 2022 YODEX Designer Venture Challenge (Golden Prize), bridges Spring Pool Glass’s sales goals with a concept-driven identity. The project balances material reuse, brand storytelling, and design strategy in a cost-effective solution.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
BITE believes that a warm family connection begins with a shared meal—often sparked by a simple “How was your day?” Inspired by this idea, the W-Scale 143 Beer Cup is rebranded with themes of love, family, and warmth. In Chinese, “一口” (a bite or a sip) also represents the basic unit of a family, making “BITE” a meaningful foundation for the brand. This concept shapes the entire identity system. The brand logo embraces a mellow, joyful aesthetic, using proportions based on the Chinese character “口,” reinterpreted as a rectangular form. The color palette is drawn from the recycled glass of Spring Pool Glass, emphasizing sustainability. Reformed through thoughtful design, BITE becomes not only a pause between conversations but also a playground for creativity and bonding between parent and child.
